Life Science Momentum 2010

Ten years ago, NGI set up the first Momentum event. A decade down the line, it is recognised throughout the Netherlands as the annual must-attend event in life sciences. Networking, getting up to speed on the latest developments – it’s a day you simply cannot afford to miss. In 2010 this event takes place in Utrecht. NIBI project management

(in Dutch) Voor veel promovendi en postdocs is de werkdruk groot. Onderzoek, zowel fundamenteel als toegepast, kent vele onzekerheden en is lastig te plannen. Diverse andere taken (onderwijs, begeleiding van studenten, etc.) gaan ten koste van de eigen onderzoekstijd. Tijdens de cursus gaan we daarom aan de slag met de volgende vragen:

  • Hoe krijg ik meer grip op mijn onderzoeksproject? En hoe meer grip op wat ik moet doen?
  • Hoe kan ik mijn onzekerheden over wat anderen van mij verwachten ombuigen in wederzijdse duidelijkheid en gezamenlijke werkafspraken?

NWO Talent Classes

The NWO-Talent Classes are, like the NWO-Talent Days, days during which young researchers can make contacts and acquire skills that a scientist does not usually pick up during his training, such as networking, presentations for the media and successful publishing. The Talent Classes are intensive one day workshops. NWO organizes these days six times a year targeting PhD students and postdocs. Find out more...

 

EG-Liaison training

In 2010 EG-Liaison organises training session that aim to inform (potential) applicants about the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). You will receive advice on the application process and the start-up and management of FP7-projects. Other topics of interest, such as financial and jurudical aspects of FP7-projects, will also receive ample attention.

Naturejobs Career Expo

The Naturejobs Career Expo (Business Design Centre, London) is the UK’s largest career fair and conference focussed exclusively on the scientific world, attracting over 1,000 scientists in physics, chemistry the life sciences and medical sciences. The Expo promotes the UK and Europe as great places to pursue a career in science, be it in industrial research, research organisations or academia. It presents the best opportunities from the best organisations: public, private, national and international.
