What is the Postdoc Retreat?
Three days of keynote lectures on academia, industry and other areas in the Life Sciences. Discover the many possible career pathways for PhDs. Workshops on discovering your talents, career planning and transferable skills, meet & greets with employers and discussions on shaping a career and your impact on society are all part of the programme.
Postdoc retreats are open exclusively to postdocs and final year PhD students in Life Sciences, Health and Technology and have been attended by over 400 early career scientists, including researchers from abroad!
Postdoc Retreat 2010
88 early career researchers, 12 parallel workshops, 9 keynote lectures, 3 days away from the lab and one excellent Postdoc Committee... these were the main ingredients for PCDI's Postdoc Retreat 2010 which took place from 21 - 23 April in Kapellerput, Heeze, where postdocs and final year PhD students come together to reflect their current position and their career perspectives. What challenges are out there and more importantly: what do I want?
